Get DeckPad for Windows

The small Windows app that runs your buttons. It lives in the notification area next to the clock and has no main window. You set everything up from the phone.

DeckPad for Windows

Windows 10 and Windows 11 · 64-bit, x64 and ARM64 · one installer

Download DeckPad-Setup.exeFor Windows 10 and 11

System requirements

Your PC

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit, on an x64 (Intel or AMD) or ARM64 processor
  • For USB: a free USB port and a data cable (some cables only charge)
  • For Bluetooth: Bluetooth turned on, with your phone paired in Windows settings
  • For OBS buttons: OBS Studio 28 or newer

Your phone

  • Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer
  • For USB: USB debugging turned on (the app and the setup guide show you how)
  • For Bluetooth: Bluetooth, paired with your PC

DeckPad brings its own copy of the Android USB tool (adb), so you don't need Android Studio. If you already use Android Studio, scrcpy or another adb tool, DeckPad works alongside it.

Install

  1. Download DeckPad-Setup.exe and open it from your Downloads folder.
  2. If Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” box, see the note below. DeckPad isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognise it.
  3. Let the installer finish. DeckPad starts by itself when it's done, and the first time it shows a “DeckPad is ready” notification.
  4. Find the DeckPad icon (four small keys) in the notification area next to the clock. If you can't see it, click the ^ arrow (“Show hidden icons”) next to the clock; Windows 11 puts new icons there. You can drag the icon out onto the taskbar to keep it visible.
  5. Open the DeckPad app on your phone and follow its steps. The getting started guide has the same steps with more detail.
Good to know

DeckPad starts with Windows so your deck is always ready. To change that, right-click the DeckPad icon and untick Start with Windows. Hover over the icon to see what DeckPad is doing, for example “Waiting for phone” or “Connected”.

“Windows protected your PC”

Windows SmartScreen warns about programs that aren't signed with a code-signing certificate or that it hasn't seen many times yet. DeckPad isn't code-signed yet, so you may see this warning. To install anyway:

  1. In the blue box, click More info.
  2. Check that the file is DeckPad-Setup.exe, then click Run anyway.

Your browser may also say the file “isn't commonly downloaded”. Choose Keep. In Microsoft Edge, open the … menu next to the download, choose Keep, then Show more → Keep anyway.

Only run installers you got from this site

Download DeckPad only from this website or the links on it. If a copy came from anywhere else, delete it and download it again here.

Windows 11 Smart App Control

Some Windows 11 PCs have Smart App Control turned on. It blocks apps that aren't signed and offers no “Run anyway” button, so it can stop DeckPad from installing or starting.

To check: open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings.

  • Off or Evaluation: DeckPad installs normally (you may still see the SmartScreen warning above).
  • On: Windows blocks DeckPad until a signed version is released. You can turn Smart App Control off, but on many versions of Windows 11 it can't be turned back on without resetting Windows, so think it over before you do.

A code-signed installer is planned, which will remove both warnings.

Get the phone app

DeckPad for Windows does nothing on its own; the buttons are on your phone. Install the DeckPad app on an Android phone running Android 6.0 or newer.

Get it on Google Play

Uninstall

  1. Right-click the DeckPad icon next to the clock and choose Quit.
  2. Windows 11: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → click … next to DeckPad → Uninstall.
    Windows 10: Settings → Apps → Apps & features → DeckPad → Uninstall.
  3. To also remove your buttons, settings, icons and logs, delete these two folders if they're still there. Paste each one into the File Explorer address bar to open it:
    • %AppData%\DeckPad (settings, button profiles and their backups, paired phones)
    • %LocalAppData%\DeckPad (icon cache, list of your PC's apps, logs)

On the phone, uninstall the DeckPad app as you would any other app. More detail is on the delete your data page.
