Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the DeckPad app for Android, DeckPad for Windows (together, “DeckPad” or the “apps”) and this website, all provided by DeckPad (“we”, “us”). By installing or using DeckPad you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use DeckPad.
If you got the phone app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to that download. Our Privacy Policy explains how DeckPad handles data.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use DeckPad on devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the apps, or remove notices from them, except where the law allows you to.
3. Using DeckPad responsibly
DeckPad does what you tell it to on your PC: it opens apps and files, presses keys, types text and controls your system. You are responsible for the buttons you create and what they do. In particular:
- Use DeckPad only with computers and phones you own or are allowed to control.
- Only approve USB debugging and pair phones you trust. Anyone holding a paired phone can run its buttons on your PC.
- Don't use DeckPad to break the law, the rules of games or services you use (for example anti-cheat or automation rules), or anyone else's rights.
- Don't try to attack, disrupt or get unauthorised access to someone else's devices through DeckPad.
4. Your content
Your button profiles, names, icons and settings belong to you. They are stored on your own devices and we don't receive them. You are responsible for backing them up; DeckPad keeps automatic backups on your PC, but we can't recover data you delete or lose.
5. Third-party software and services
DeckPad can control other software, such as your web browser, media players and OBS Studio, and DeckPad for Windows includes Google's Android Debug Bridge (adb) tool. Those programs and any websites you open are provided by others under their own terms. We aren't responsible for them, and a change in them may stop a DeckPad action from working.
DeckPad includes open-source components, which are licensed under their own licences.
6. Updates and availability
We may update, change or stop offering DeckPad or any of its features. We'll try to keep the phone app and the PC app compatible with each other, but you may need to update both to keep them working together.
7. No warranty
DeckPad is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use DeckPad, including the result of any action a button carries out. Our total liability for any claim relating to DeckPad is limited to the amount you paid us for it, if anything, in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
9. Trademarks
“DeckPad” and the DeckPad logo belong to us. Stream Deck, OBS Studio, Android, Google Play, Windows and other names mentioned here are trademarks of their respective owners. DeckPad is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them; we mention them only to describe what DeckPad works with.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using DeckPad at any time by uninstalling it (see Delete your data). If you break these terms, your licence ends automatically. Sections 4, 7, 8 and 9 continue to apply after that.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep using DeckPad after that, the updated terms apply.
